Hits: At long last, we all saw the third fight between Manny and Marquez. During this fight I have to openly admit that Manny appeared to have lost this fight. Which left more question's then answer's. Manny seem's to have trouble dealing with technical fighter's whom love to counter punch. The problem with this is Floyd Mayweather is the best technical and counter punching fighter in the history of the sport. Which leaves many to second guess how well Manny will fair against Floyd. Floyd is the least of Manny's worries at this point he should be focused on his promoter Bob the Slob Arum. If Manny does not check his finance's he may end up broke at the bank and a broken fighter.
Hits: Even though Martinez is 36, the consensus 2010 fighter of the year is as fresh as can be. He has taken little punishment and is ready, willing and able to face all comers. On top of that, he has charisma and has made a series of good fights with quality opponents such as Paul Williams (twice), Kelly Pavlik and Kermit Cintron. He also was pitching a near shutout before erasing junior middleweight titlist Sergiy Dzinziruk in the eighth round on March 12.
Misses: Unfortunately, Martinez is not blessed with a wealth of big-name opponents. To get one, he will need to move down in weight, compel smaller guys to come up to face him, or make the leap up to the talent-rich super middleweight division.
Back atop the pound 4 pound list by taking on young hungry competitors. Proving he is getting better with age, Mayweather walked down a young strong head butting Victor Ortiz and came away with a rightly deserved victory. While Manny continues to have promoter problem's which plague the possible Mega Fight. Floyd has now annouced his next fight will be May 5, 2011 and has invited Manny to join him for a dance.
